International Medical Aid (IMA) offers healthcare internships in five global locations, each selected for its clinical impact and cultural depth. Whether you're seeking experience in a bustling hospital or a rural outreach clinic, each site provides structured learning and direct engagement with local medical professionals.

Kenya

Healthcare internships in Kenya are available across major hospitals in Mombasa and surrounding rural health centers. This is IMA’s flagship location, known for its broad departmental exposure and high-volume patient care.

Tanzania

Healthcare internships in Tanzania through rotations in Arusha and nearby regions. This program blends hospital shadowing with public health education and community medicine.

Uganda

Participate in healthcare internships in Uganda in regional hospitals and maternity clinics. Interns contribute to grassroots health projects focused on maternal and child health.

Peru

Engage in healthcare internships in Peru through placements in Arequipa. Participants rotate in local hospitals and support bilingual community health outreach initiatives.

Upcoming Locations and New Programs

International Medical Aid is actively expanding to new countries and specialties to meet growing interest and global healthcare needs. These upcoming sites and programs will offer the same high standard of structure, safety, and educational value that define IMA’s current internships.

While details are still being finalized, interns can expect future opportunities in EcuadorColombia, and other parts of the Caribbean. New program types will also include specialty-focused rotations in anesthesiology, mental health, public health, and radiologic technology.
