What Is the Cost of Participating in an IMA Program?

IMA fees cover housing, meals, hospital access, insurance, and more. Airfare and visa costs are not included.

Program fees for International Medical Aid (IMA) internships cover nearly all in-country expenses to ensure a smooth and fully supported experience. These fees include housing in secure program residences, three chef-prepared meals daily, placement-related local transportation, hospital access fees, high-speed WiFi, and comprehensive travel medical and accident insurance.

Additionally, your program fee supports IMA’s ongoing Global Humanitarian Initiatives, benefiting the underserved communities where interns are placed. This means your participation advances your career and contributes to lasting impact in global healthcare.

Please note that international airfare, visa costs, and optional travel excursions are not included in the program fee and should be budgeted separately.
