What Does the Program Fee Include?

IMA program fees include housing, meals, hospital placements, insurance, and full in-country support. Travel costs not included.

Comprehensive In-Country Coverage

Your program fee with International Medical Aid (IMA) includes most in-country expenses to ensure a seamless and enriching internship experience. You won’t need to worry about everyday logistics—we take care of that for you so you can focus on learning and contributing.

What’s Included in the Fee

  • Accommodations: Comfortable housing in IMA’s secured program residences, staffed with local coordinators and security personnel.

  • Chef-Prepared Meals: Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared in-house with attention to local flavors and international dietary preferences.

  • In-Country Transportation: All transportation to and from hospital sites, clinics, and outreach locations is provided.

  • Hospital Placement Fees: Your fee covers administrative and placement costs associated with working in public and private hospitals abroad.

  • 24/7 On-Ground Support: From airport pickup to departure, interns receive dedicated support from IMA’s in-country teams and U.S.-based operations staff.

  • WiFi Access: Unlimited internet access at IMA residences to help you stay connected with family and continue academic work.

  • Orientation and Training: Includes language and cultural training as well as hospital-specific protocols to prepare you for your placement.

  • Travel Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage is included, covering basic health needs and emergencies during your time abroad.

Please note that international airfare, visa fees, and personal expenses are not included in the program fee.
