Interns gain hands-on experience in international healthcare settings, working alongside chiropractors and other medical professionals. Interns will work alongside experienced chiropractors in various healthcare settings around the world. IMA’s Chiropractic Internship Program is designed for undergraduate students, graduate students, and licensed professionals seeking hands-on experience in underserved communities. Our programs are based in East Africa, South America, and the Caribbean and emphasize clinical immersion, cultural understanding, and global health awareness.

Our clinical experience goal is achieved through our emphasis on hands-on learning, providing interns with a solid medical theory and practice foundation. Our physician shadowing and clinical rotations enable interns to work closely with healthcare professionals, observe medical procedures, and participate in patient care.

Our cultural competency goal is achieved through our language and cultural immersion activities. Interns will have the opportunity to learn a new language, immerse themselves in a new culture, and gain a deeper understanding of how culture affects healthcare practices.

Our global health competency goal is achieved through our collaboration with local healthcare organizations and our emphasis on understanding global health issues. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about healthcare policies and systems in different countries and gain an understanding of the global healthcare landscape.

Our experienced staff provides mentorship and support to help you achieve your goals and make the most of your experience. They will provide guidance on everything from cultural etiquette to medical terminology, and will be available to answer any questions or concerns throughout your internship.

At the end of the program, interns will receive a certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation from IMA. These documents will attest to the knowledge, skills, and competencies gained through the program and can be used to enhance their future academic and professional opportunities.
