1. The first step we take before working with you is interviewing you.
This way, we can get to know you as a med school applicant and see what you need. Then, we’ll know how we can help you. If you need us to review your personal statement, this is the process we’ll go through.
2. We will evaluate the content—the substance—of your personal statement.
We’ll look at your personal statement through the lens of the following criteria:
Is your theme apparent?
Did you structure your essay in a way that makes sense?
Do you engage your reader from the start?
Does your conclusion tie everything together?
If there was an essay question, did you answer it completely?
Anyone can apply to medical school. Did you provide information about yourself that makes you stand out as a candidate? You need to!
3. Review of Additional Essays
Do you have more than one essay? No problem. We’ll review all of them to ensure your application is cohesive.
4. Grammar and Proofreading
After reviewing all your essays for content, we’ll dive into grammar, spelling, and all that good stuff. You can anticipate somewhere between two to four reviews of your essays before you’re ready to submit them.
Note: Our hourly plan is best used for essay review, post-baccalaureate guidance, or general application review.
