The IMA MCAT Score Calculator is free. You can see your scores and results without an account; an email is only needed if you want the report sent to you.
Step 1: Enter Your Practice Exam Results
For each section, enter how many questions you answered correctly. Use the slider or type the number.
Section | Questions |
Chem/Phys | 59 |
CARS | 53 |
Bio/Biochem | 59 |
Psych/Soc | 59 |
Step 2: Read Your Scores
Each section shows an estimated score from 118 to 132 and its percentile.
Your estimated total score (472 to 528) and total percentile update as you type.
The score bar marks the 2025-2026 averages for MD applicants (506.3) and for students who enrolled (512.1).
Percentiles are the AAMC percentile ranks in effect May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027. The AAMC reports the lowest scores as "below the 1st percentile," so the calculator does too.
Step 3: Personalize Your Results
Select Personalize My Results and answer four quick questions:
Your cumulative GPA (optional)
Whether the score is from a practice exam or your official MCAT
Whether you are applying to MD schools, DO schools or both
When you plan to apply
Then select Show My Results. Nothing is saved at this step.
What Your Results Show
Where your score sits: how it compares with the 2025-2026 applicant and matriculant averages.
How applicants with your numbers fared: if you add a GPA and include MD schools, you see the share of U.S. MD applicants with your GPA range and MCAT range who were accepted (AAMC data, 2023-2024 through 2025-2026 combined). This describes past applicants, not your personal chance.
Your section balance: your lowest section by percentile, compared with the average section scores of students who enrolled.
Your next steps: guides picked for your situation, plus links to IMA's other free tools.
Get Your Report by Email
At the bottom of your results, enter your first name, last name and email, check the consent box and select Email My Report. Phone number is optional. A quick security check runs before the form sends.
Your report includes your scores, percentiles, section breakdown, the acceptance data for your numbers (if you added a GPA) and your next steps. After you submit, you can also create a free IMA Student Portal account. Every report email includes an unsubscribe link.
Which Practice Exams Work Best
The calculator is most useful for the free AAMC Unscored Sample Test, which does not give a scaled score.
AAMC Practice Exams 1 to 6 already give you a scaled score and percentile, so use those official results when you have them.
Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the estimate? It is an estimate based on practice exam score ranges. On the real MCAT, the conversion from correct answers to scaled scores varies from one exam form to another, so your official score may differ.
I did not get my report email. Check your spam or promotions folder first. If it is not there, contact us.
Does it work for DO schools? Yes for your scores and percentiles. The acceptance rate figure uses AAMC data for MD schools only; for a DO school list, use IMA Pathfinder.
Is it free? Yes, completely free.
